My Place Exhibition 2015
27 Mar 2015 – 06 May
Gallery Two
The Scottish Civic Trust’s My Place exhibition 2015 invites you to celebrate the built environment, place and architecture through its annual projects that encourage involvement from the communities of Scotland.
My Place has three distinct strands: My Place Photography Competition for school aged children, aimed at encouraging creative exploration with the built environments of Scotland; My Place Awards, a scheme that recognises best practice in community centred design including a Civic Champion Award for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the civic movement; and My Place Photography Learning Project, a Heritage Lottery Funded two year pilot programme of activity aimed at supporting young people to gain access to and to learn about the places and spaces around them through the creative use of photography.
The exhibition launches on Thursday 26 March and will be open to the public from Friday 27 March to 6 May 2015.
In 2015 My Place projects have been supported by: Historic Scotland, Heritage Lottery Fund, the Scottish Government, Architecture and Design Scotland, The Lighthouse, ADF Architects, Morgan McDonnell Architects, Eastern Exhibition and Display, Jessops, Glasgow Institute of Architects and Friends of Glasgow West heritage group.
