More than 20 Scottish independent artists to exhibit at Lighthouse Late 11 May 2015

A wealth of creative disciplines will sit alongside each other in the Tea Green festive makers market in The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Architecture and Design.

Tea Green are underpinned by a strongly held ethos to support the prosperity of local, hard working and talented creative people, making beautiful work in Scotland - by creating a platform for them to showcase their work.

On the evening of the 29th of May, the market will host a wide and diverse mix of makers, with painters, illustrators, jewelers, fashion designers, photographers, home ware designers and much more.

In addition, Tea Green will be hosting a hands on workshop in partnership with textile artist Jill Skuilna. 'Transformers – T-Shirts in disguise: Re-imaging T-Shirts with Jill Skulina' will be a drop in up-cycling workshop where visitors will learn how to give an old T-Shirt a new lease of life and make a new addition to their wardrobe.

Tea Green will also have the lovely ladies from Wardrobe conversations on hand there with their infamous 'Instagram photobooth' to capture the evenings fabulous creations.

Tea Green founder, Joanne MacFadyen, said: “The eclectic mix, high quality and calibre of our exhibitors make Tea Green events unlike your typical craft market in Scotland.

Our aim is to create shopping experiences where the public can access a diverse array of talented artists and designers, all of whom are incredibly passionate about what they do, making original works, all crafted to the highest standards.

We are also really thrilled to be brining our first Tea Green workshop to this event, Its going to be a lot of fun, and a great way for visitors to work with our exhibitors and get the chance to have a play, learn some new skills and make something they will be proud of. ”

The event not only aims to create a platform for the public to access unique Scottish work it is also driven by a desire to connect makers with each other. To encourage the sharing of experience and build knowledge to create sustainable and rewarding businesses.
