Design Impact Awards 2014 / Design Impact Award Shortlist

13 entries to The Lighthouse Design Impact Award (DIA) have been shortlisted, including the design of the Queens Baton for the XX Commonwealth Games and further demonstrate the innovative Scottish design talent alive and kicking today.

The second Design Impact Awards, run by The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture, was launched across Scotland in May with two prizes up for grabs – the public vote winner and the judge’s winner.

The shortlisted entries are now hung in The Lighthouse and who wins the public prize relies on which design gets the most votes! Members of the public can cast their vote at the exhibition itself within The Lighthouse on level 5 outside the Doocot Cafe.

The shortlisted designs and their designers are:

7. Cyclehack – Snook
8. Beyond the Finish Line – icecream architecture
9. Arx Garden Swing – Dawson Sellar Design
10. Revo Superconnect – Revo
11. Energy Snapshot Report – Dress for the Weather
12. John Lewis Retail support - Studio LR
13. Slick Barbers – Craig Black
