Sonica: SUBMERGE 29 Oct 2015 – 10 Jan
Mackintosh Interpretation Centre

Explore Glasgow’s once treasured and now forgotten streams using Kathy Hinde’s interactive sound map, SUBMERGE.

Combining intriguing underwater sounds, with scientific data from OPAL Community Scientist Joanne Dempster, and the laboratories of Glasgow Scientific Services, this is an opportunity to learn more about Glasgow’s underwater ecology and discover the various life forms found in the most unlikely of places across the city.

A 2015 Cryptic commission for Sonica in partnership with Glasgow’s Green Year 2015, OPAL, Velocity & Glasgow City of Science.

Sonica takes place across Glasgow from 29 Oct – 8 Nov with a programme dedicated to world-class visual sonic arts, presenting emerging British talent alongside exceptional international artists from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Indonesia, Netherlands and Québec.
