Sightlines
07 Aug 2014 – 14 Sep
Gallery One
A new film inspired by historical aerial photography of Commonwealth countries gathered throughout the second half of the twentieth century by the Directorate of Overseas Surveys, Sightlines has been created by RCAHMS and the Scottish Documentary Institute as part of Culture 2014. Set in Kenya, and combining 3D aerial images and personal cinefilm from the 1950s, with live action footage of the present day, the film will explore how everyday actions can have profound consequences.
The film will be shown within a purpose-built pavilion located adjacent to the Building a Legacy exhibition in the Gallery One space.
