MyParkScotland
25 Jun 2015 – 02 Sep
Noticed Board - Level 2
MyParkScotland provides a new way to discover and support parks. Glasgow is affectionately known as the ‘dear green place’ and many of us have treasured memories of days out in the park.
This exhibition celebrates the wonderful diversity of Scotland’s parks and encourages visitors to share their park stories and ideas through the MyParkScotland website.
MyParkScotland is a project delivered by greenspace scotland in partnership with the City of Edinburgh and Glasgow City Councils, Future Cities and the Edinburgh Friends Forum. MyParkScotland is the only Scottish project within the Rethinking Parks programme and is funded by Nesta and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
"Finding new and innovative ways to make the financing and management of parks and greenspaces sustainable is vital to ensuring their future. We need to make sure we maintain and keep our parks in good heart today and for the benefit of generations to come. MyParkScotland is our response to this challenge."
Julie Procter, chief executive of greenspace scotland
