Visit / Exhibitions / Many Hands Collective

Many Hands Collective 24 Jun 2015 – 02 Aug
Level 4 - Circulation Space

Co-founded by Ciorstaidh Monk and Alice Dansey-Wright, Many Hands Collective is a project focused on exploring collaboration through workshops, events and exhibitions.

This is the project’s first exhibition following a collaborative garment painting workshop at the Lighthouse Late on the 29th May 2015. Over 100 contributors painted motifs inspired by maker’s marks directly on to three deconstructed garments to create distinct repeat surface patterns. The assembled pieces form the basis of this exhibition.

Combining photography, fashion design, fine art and illustration, Many Hands Collective facilitate opportunities to create one-off, site-specific artworks, products and garments.
