Visit / Tours

The Lighthouse offers a guided tour each Saturday. These are on a first come first served basis and will begin at 1pm. 

Join a 40-minute tour led by one of our knowledgeable staff members detailing the history of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's first public commission - The Glasgow Herald Building up to its present-day use as The Lighthouse, Scotland's centre for design and architecture. Our building tours allow visitors to find out more about the building, as well as the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and its impact on the city he came from. 

The tours are priced at £5 (£3 concessions) and are on a first come first served basis.

We can also accommodate group booking tours outwith these times. Please email our Operations Team or call reception on 0141 276 5365 please include details of the group size, dates and times you would like.
