Culloden Memorial Battlefield Centre, Gareth Hoskins Architects
The Lighthouse Architecture Series begins with an exhibition of the work of Gareth Hoskins Architects, one of Scotland’s most notable architecture firms.
This is the first in a five-year programme of architectural monographs celebrate Scottish architectural talent. In the past ten years Scotland has seen the rise of a significant number of architectural practices. This series aims to highlight, nurture and promote these positive changes.
Gareth Hoskins Architects have worked on a multitude of projects that range from, arts and culture, health, education, residential, to commercial and master-planning. The practice has designed Culloden Battlefield Visitors Centre, Partick Community Health Centre, Robin House Children’s Hospice, Balloch, and The Bridge Arts Centre, Glasgow. They are currently working on, Lerwick Cinema and Music Venue and, the National Museum of Scotland and a major redevelopment in St. Andrews Square in Edinburgh’s World Heritage New Town.
The exhibition will also tour to RIBA in London From 19 Jan - 24 Feb 09.
