The Lighthouse Education team warmly invite you to an open day at The Lighthouse on 21 August.
Get details of our education programme for the year ahead, join in tours of the building or our demonstration workshops and discover more about what The Lighthouse education programme has to offer.
The day's programme
3.30pm-7pm - Education workshop
Design Summer School revisited
Meet the students and tutors who took part in the Design Summer School and see some of the processes they learnt on the course in action.
3.30pm - 7pm - Level 3
Origami architecture
Join one of our workshop facilitators, Misa Kanno, create an origami artwork to take home and discover more about the ancient Japanese art of paper folding.
4pm & 5.30pm - Conference Suite
Introduction to the education team
Meet the education team and hear more about the education programme for the coming year.
4pm, 5pm & 6pm - Reception
Building tours
Join a tour of The Lighthouse and learn more about its many interesting and unusual features.
4.45pm & 6pm - Level 3
Exhibition tours
Take a tour of the HAPTIC exhibition, led by one of The Lighthouse exhibitions team.
All guests will receive a 15% discount from The Lighthouse Shop, on the day.

Last weekend The Lighthouse took part in The Big Draw campaign, with over 150 visitors joining illustrator Stuart White for a day long drawing event.
