Music Box Migrations workshop
Kathy Hinde
Mackintosh Room
18 Sep
1pm - 4pm

As part of Luminous Birds for the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016, The Lighthouse is hosting a free, themed workshop with artist Kathy Hinde as part of Doors Open Day 2016.

Join us between 1pm & 4pm on Sunday 18 September for a drop in session where you can master the art of making an Origami bird and create their flight path in sound with Music Box Migrations.

Exploring the idea of using a picture as a musical score, you will create a personal journey in a map that is used to create a unique melody for your music box.

Luminous Birds is a free family event and can be seen in The Mackintosh Tower, The Lighthouse, Glasgow between 20 September 2016 & 8 January 2017.

Originally commissioned by Kidderminster Arts Festival 2015, with development and sound commissioned by Cryptic 2016.

This is a drop-in workshop so no booking is required. Let us know if you plan to come along over on our Facebook
