This Doors Open Days weekend we will offer free tours exploring the rich heritage of the building, as well as an exciting range of workshops and events for visitors of all ages!
Join our drop in designer-led workshops over the weekend. These free, creative workshops will be led by artists Penny Sharp and Innes Smith. Create your own ‘wally tile’ or wall paper print inspired by floral Art Nouveau motifs, suitable for all ages!
Level 3, drop in, no booking necessary.
Saturday 10.30am to 4.30pm, Sunday 12pm to 4pm.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Working with Granny Would Be Proud, we will also present The I.D. Store throughout the building. Hosting an exciting range of traders through all areas of craft and design, the market will turn the levels of the building into a department store.
On Sunday the 17th September, Architecture & Design Scotland will present Material Considerations: A Library of Sustainable Building Materials. An array of sustainable and innovative construction materials for visitors to explore through a variety of activities. As well as offering Traditional Skills Workshops with the Glasgow Traditional Building Forum during which visitors can try various traditional building skills including stone carving, roof slating, and Stained Glass Copper Foiling.
