Urban Learning Space

Urban Learning Space (ULS) is at the centre of an international network of institutions, businesses, designers and technologists taking an interdisciplinary, action-research based approach to real life challenges in cities and their regions.

Our projects and events provides a platform for gathering and sharing ideas and insights and identifying future trends in the relationship between design and learning.

Urban CINeSPACE is a partnership with Scottish Screen, the Fraunhofer Institute and the Cities of Venice and San Sebastian.

StoryBox is a Glasgow focused site used for sharing stories. Watch, listen and read stories from Glasgow and the rest of the world on the ULS website.
On the Move
In partnership with Scottish Screen, ULS work with young people not in education, employment or training to develop transferable skills.
Urban Opera
This innovative social project is funded by the Scottish Arts Council’s Youth Music Initiative and managed by ULS.

Projects

The Lighthouse is privileged to be involved in programmes that pursue the Scottish Government's policy on architecture.

It also plays a key role in other significant projects, including a number that encompass inclusive design.
