Six Cities Design Festival to put creativity centre stage
31 Oct 06Scotland’s First Minister, Jack McConnell MSP, launched the Six Cities Design Festival - a £3 million initiative aimed at raising awareness of the value of design and creativity today, 31 October 2006. Scotland currently has the largest creative industries sector in the UK outwith London and the South East, and research has shown that companies which put design and creativity at the heart of their businesses are outperforming the FTSE 100 by 200%.
