Is The Lighthouse Shop an `accessible` website?
Yes. The Lighthouse Shop was designed and developed by Judging Monkey on behalf of The Lighthouse to meet all W3C and WAI accessibility requirements. Our full accessibility statement is available.

Are all products in stock?
All product stock levels are taken directly from our stock control centre. Any item listed as being in stock is usually available.
In the rare occasion that an item is still shown as available, but is in fact ‘out of stock’, you will be notified with an expected delivery date and given the option to wait or cancel your order.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT at 17.5% where applicable.
We have made every effort to ensure that all sizes, weights and capacities of goods are as accurate as possible. However please be aware that certain colour shadings represented, may differ slightly from the actual colours of products received.
The Lighthouse Shop, reserves the right to alter without notice or prior warning, products, prices and conditions of sale.

When will I receive my order?
We aim to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receipt. Our standard packages are sent via Royal Mail and should arrive with you within 3 working days. For an additional charge we offer a next day Recorded Delivery service.

Will I have to be at home to receive my parcel?
Only Recorded Delivery Parcels will require a signature. If you are not at home, the parcel will be sent to your local sorting office and you will be left a card advising you where to collect your parcel. Standard Royal Mail deliveries will arrive in the same way as your normal post.

What if I want to order an outsize item, from The Lighthouse Shop, like for example a chair or a number of items?
All delivery charges are based on total weight and will be calculated for you at the ‘Checkout’ stage of your transaction. Delivery costs for products weighing, in total, over 20kg and in excess of 1.5m in length, will be quoted to you separately based on the delivery address and the total size and weight of your order.

How do I know the information I provide on my credit card will be safe?
Ensuring the security of your personal data is our highest priority. We do not store any credit card details or other sensitive information at The Lighthouse Shop.
All transactions are processed by Protx, who use bank-approved software and the highest level of encryption to ensure that your credit card details are kept secure at all times. The Protx certificate may be viewed by clicking on the padlock at the bottom of the payment pages.

I am a designer/maker of contemporary craft, how could I get my work on sale in The Lighthouse Shop?
We would love to consider showing your work in The Lighthouse Shop. In the first instance, please send us, by or e-mail or through the post:
- A minimum of three, good quality photographic images representing your work.
- A price list, which shows a complete list of the pieces of work you are able to supply, your trade prices and any desired RRPs.
- A full C.V. to include, professional qualifications, details of where your work has been shown or is on sale, some background information, your inspirations etc.
We will then consider your work carefully and either contact you, if we feel there is an opportunity for a forthcoming showcase, or log your information as potential for future programming.

We are always looking for innovative and beautiful new products that would fit in with range. Please send your product information, including trade price list, to our address, or send us an email and we will happily consider your products.

I am an interior designer/design agency and I would like to source product from The Lighthouse Shop for a project I am working on. How do I go about this and is there any trade discount?
We are always delighted to help with Trade supply to clients. Please contact us and let us know which products you are interested in and we will give you full details on any order minimums and lead times from manufacturers. We are happy to apply a trade discount of 15%, where proof of status, including full company details and a VAT number are supplied.

By Tube/Underground
From Buchanan Street underground, exit to Buchanan Street and follow street signs to The Lighthouse.
By Rail
Queen Street & Central Station are only 5 minutes walk away. Train times are available from Railtrack.
By Bus
Buchanan Street Bus Station provides links from within Scotland to Glasgow - an up-to-date timetable is available from National Express. From the rest of the UK an up-to-date timetable is available from Citylink.
By Air
There is a regular bus service from Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports to Buchanan Street Bus Station and Queen Street Station. Trains from Prestwick Airport terminate at Central Station.
By Road
From Edinburgh follow the M8 and signs for the city centre. Enter the city via junction 19, heading onto Bothwell Street. At the end of Bothwell Street turn left onto Hope Street. Take the second right onto West George Street and then the second right onto West Nile Street. West Nile Street leads onto Mitchell Street, where The Lighthouse is clearly visible. From England, follow the M6, which becomes the M74. On the south side of Glasgow take the M73 then almost immediately the M8 into the city centre (be careful not to take the Glasgow East or South cut-offs). Follow the instructions as per Edinburgh for The Lighthouse.

Parking facilities are available on Mitchell Street.

Buying Guide
Shopping with us is a fast, simple and secure process. Using the catalogue (constantly available on therighthand side) browse through our large and expanding range of products.
- When you see something you like, simply add it to your basket.
- When you’re finished shopping click the "Proceed to Checkout" link on your shopping basket.
- If you have not yet registered with the The Lighthouse Shop website you will be asked to do so – it is a quick and simple process which you only have to complete once.
- After registration log in and continue to the checkout, filling in any delivery information as needed.
- You will then be taken to the Protx website. Protx is a separate secure website which handles all of our online payments.
- After you enter your credit card details you are returned to the The Lighthouse Shop website.

Delivery Information
The charges for your delivery are inclusive of all post and packaging.
The total cost for the delivery of your order is calculated based on the weight and size of your order and whether it is to be sent by Royal Mail or Special Next Day Delivery Service.
This option is presented to you in your shopping basket and at the checkout stage of you shopping transaction.
For unusually heavy or larger items, weighing more than 20kg or longer than 1.5metres in length, or where the delivery address is outside of mainland U.K, a separate deliver charge will occur.
Orders of this nature must be dealt with over the telephone. For standard delivery service, we aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours of receipt and orders will be received thereafter, within 4 working days.
If you have not received your order within 7 working days, please contact us.
Special delivery next day orders will be charged at a premium and again this delivery option will be presented to you at the ‘check out’ stage of your transaction.

Canceling an order
If you wish to cancel an order. Please notify us immediately, quoting your order reference number. If the order has already been dispatched you will need to follow the instruction in our Returns Policy.

Refund and Returns Policy
Faulty / Damaged goods
Please inspect your order upon delivery. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us.
A copy of your returns form should be enclosed with your package. We can either arrange to send you a replacement at our cost or Refund the value of the goods and the original cost of delivery.
Unwanted Goods
If your order is intact, but you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return or exchange a product within 14 days of the date of despatch.
Please notify us first.
The product you wish to return must be in a saleable condition, with its original, unopened and undamaged packaging.
The parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they reach us. We therefore recommend that they are securely packaged for transit and that you send them registered post and retain proof of postage.
We will consider the overall condition of non-faulty goods being returned when making a refund. (This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of faulty goods.) If in good order, we will then refund the total value of the goods including the original delivery costs.
