ACCESS to Architecture

A national campaign informed by key aims and aspirations of the Scottish Governments Policy on Architecture.

One of the most focused and far reaching programmes on architecture ever aimed at a public audience, since its launch in 2001 it has brought to fruition a diverse range of initiatives, all of which have been driven by the commitment to increase interest in architecture and to enable wider accessibility to built environment issues in Scotland.

ACCESS to Architecture seeks to promote excellence; to raise aspirations; to make connections and encourage collaboration between the profession and the public at all levels; to challenge ideas and to stimulate debate; to research and develop current and future issues.

The ACCESS programme has two distinct but inter connected parts

ACCESS to Architecture exhibitions and awards - a programme of exhibitions, publications, website and awards promoting and celebrating Scotland¹s rich architectural culture

ACCESS to Architecture community networks - a programme of outreach and sustainable  network building engaging and enabling communities in built environment issues.
