The Glasgow Awards 2018 30 Jul 2018

Last month, we received an email from Creative Oceanic telling us that The Lighthouse was shortlisted into the finals under the Best Cultural Venue category at The 5th Glasgow Awards 2018!

We were shortlisted due to the high number of nominations which we received from the public and our wonderful clients.

The Awards night took place on Monday 23rd July at the Crown Plaza Glasgow. Our Manager, Theresa Searle, Jan Crawford, our Operations Coordinator and Michelle Andrew from our Social Media & Comms team attended the black tie event and had a great night!

The Glasgow Awards 2018 celebrated the success of the city of Glasgow. From restaurants to small businesses the ceremony recognised the best of the industry and it was lovely to see so many fantastic Glasgow businesses and organisations at the event.

We were awarded Highly Commended Cultural Venue, narrowly missing the win for Best Cultural Venue. St. Frances Community Centre won the overall award for Best Cultural Venue, a very deserving achievement recogising the amazing work they do for the community!

Thanks to Creative Oceanic for a fantastic evening, we look forward to next year and will keep our fingers crossed we make the finals again, and perhaps take the title for 2019!
