Sixteen contemporary jewellers and silversmiths present new work made during one year residencies at three Scottish art schools: The Glasgow School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
16 people, 16 styles, 16 approaches. 16 questions, 16 ways of making.
Residency programs have given these makers the time to reflect on their individual responses to their practice. Each has a unique notion of value, preciousness, and aesthetics. The diversity of the collection is clear, but in bringing their work together they invite discovery of a possible commonality that originates from their current shared location of Scotland.
