In the early seventies a young Renato Bocchi was dispatched from Venice to Glasgow by his then teacher, the late great Manfredo Tafuri. Bocchi arrived in a smog-filled Glasgow, met Andy MacMillan and the rest is their history, including Bocchi’s 1973 thesis on his adopted city. In 2013 Bocchi sent his masters student Nicola Russolo to Glasgow, to investigate a different city, the reinvented post-industrial city of culture that Glasgow has become.
